Get To Know Amanda
Amanda is a Mental Health Counselor and Art Therapist, with 5 years of experience helping individuals and groups of adolescents and adults with an array of mental health struggles and life transitions. She focuses on assisting clients in building self-awareness, a sense of control, emotional understanding, and new ways of healing that are specific to their needs.
Amanda offers a safe space through a compassionate, collaborative and empathetic approach while challenging clients when needed. She utilizes counseling and art therapy to encourage individual growth and to gain awareness through safe exploration and accessing feelings through the process of art making rather than focusing on the product. (No previous experience needed, stick figures/blobs/scribbles are welcome).

Amanda supports clients on this journey to feeling more aligned and every person is capable of growth and deserving of support on their journey. The therapeutic relationship is crucial to this change and it is developed through addressing needs as they arise during periods of change, transition, or crisis.
Amanda use a variety of evidence-based techniques including integration of Art Therapy, DBT, parts work, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Overtime working with me, clients build their unique toolbox of coping skills, self-awareness, and understanding to heal and reach their goals
