Get To Know Alex
I graduated with my bachelor’s degree at University of Scranton and went on to
successfully complete a master’s in clinical mental health counseling. I am a Licensed
Professional Counselor (LPC) and I'm also recognized as a nationally certified counselor (NCC). My early career experience was with co-occurring disorders and substance abuse counseling in a residential setting. I have worked with children and adolescents struggling with behavioral issues or dealing with trauma. A large part of my experience is with crisis work, as I have worked in an emergency room for several years as a crisis counselor and emergency screener. Some of my specialized training has been in cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis counseling, and trauma-informed psychotherapy.
My passion is to help others learn to adapt to life’s stressors and to learn how to be the best version of themselves. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am an avid animal lover and enjoys spending time with my canine friend, Dakota.
When people ask what drew me to this field, I always replies, “someone had helped
better my life in very difficult and trying times through therapy so I’d like to do the same for
someone else.” My approach to my therapy work is holistic, as I aim to embrace the big picture while encouraging my clients to do the same. My hope is to be a breath of fresh air for my clients through an interactive, warm, and accepting approach.
Whatever brought you here, I am here for you, ready to meet you where you’re at, and help you navigate through the ups and downs of life.
